Celebrating our 10th anniversary!

The new 2009-2010 dance season is underway and so many great things are already happening at Footsteps.

  • Footsteps in once again sponsoring the MN Jr. Miss Program which is scheduled to be held at Eastview High School in Apple Valley on February 20, 2010 (7:00pm).  Come and support your studio and get a sneak peek at what the companies are working on.  Ticket information will be available in February.
  • The Dream Dancer’s groups have been hard at work.  The competition season starts in March.  Dance styles range from jazz, lyrical, contemporary, dance line/high kick, and hip-hop.  Dancers ages are from 7 to 19 years old.  Admission is free to all events and fun for everyone.  Check out the competition schedule for more information.
  • Preparations have begun for the annual dance production which is scheduled for June 17-19.  More information will be coming about rehearsals, pictures, and more.  Costumes have been selected and can be seen in the reception area.  Practice music is available for ordering.  See the front desk for details.
  • The Gold, Platinum, and Silver companies performed “Thriller” at the Dakota County Fair grounds this year.  If you missed the show, check the great pictures under the photo album. You may also see a video on “YOU TUBE” under Thriller at a haunted house.
  • A few classes have been closed due to the overwhelming numbers in the class.  That’s great.  BUT, there are still some classes with space still available so check out our schedule and join a class today!
  • Girl Scouts, Brownie, Daisy troupe leaders:  book a workshop to help your girls earn their “Dance Patch”.  Look under Footsteps Extras for more information.
  • Book a Birthday party!  It’s a dance theme.  Saturday’s and Sunday’s available.  Look under Footsteps Extras for more information.

Welcome to Footsteps! We would like to take the opportunity to thank you for showing interest in our dance program. We are eager to answer any questions you may have and invite you to visit Footsteps to meet, talk and even experience a complimentary class. Students that have attended Footsteps since its opening in 2000 consider the studio to have a very “family like atmosphere”. Dancers develop a real comradeship within their classes and develop not only skill, but self esteem, confidence and strong friendships. The instructors consider each and every student important and are willing to develop, guide and help each one to achieve their greatest potential. Dancing is fun and we strive to achieve that goal.
